Cut away the near material

A slice plane moves through the depth of the image and removes everything in front of it, leaving a solid face where it cut. The layer lines of a 3D print can be drawn behind the face, so the picture reads as a built object.

Two styles

Cross-Section draws the cut as a solid face with the layer lines behind it. False Colour maps the depth to a colour ramp and shows the slice as a band of that colour. False Colour can blend its ramp in RGB or OKLCH, the same choice as Duotone.
