A glowing plane

A band of light sits at one depth in the scene and glows over the picture, leaving the image underneath intact. It reads as a scanner passing through the scene, the look of a sci-fi readout.

Three patterns

The band can be filled with Scanlines, a fine raster; with a Dot Grid; or left Solid, a plain glow. The pattern changes the character of the band without changing where it sits.

Every option, from the app

Generated from the registry the app publishes, so this list is whatever the current build actually ships — not a copy of it.

  • Depth SliceA cutaway cross-section through the picture, the way a 3D print or a medical scan is shown.
  • ScanlinesThe horizontal raster of a CRT or an interlaced picture, with an optional vignette.
  • Depth FogFog that thickens with distance, so the far end of the picture dissolves into it.
