Slicing the picture at fixed heights

The effect draws the lines you would get by slicing the image at fixed heights, like the contours on a topographic map. Where the tones change quickly the lines crowd together, and where they change slowly they spread out.

Spacing and colour

Adapt can vary the spacing from Tone, Depth or Detail, and it opens on Off. Follow opens on Depth, so the lines trace the depth the app infers for your image as well as its tones. Interpolation chooses whether colours blend in RGB or OKLCH.
