Shaping the tone

Each control point you drag pulls the curve through that input and output value. A curve that lifts the middle and leaves the ends alone adds life without touching the extremes, and a steep section puts contrast exactly where you place it.

The editor draws the curve as a monotone line, so it never folds back on itself and never inverts a tone by accident.
