What it does

The bright pixels are picked out by a threshold, then spread outward by a radius and blended back. It is the classic bright bleed, and it works best where the highlights are already the subject.

Three characters

Bloom is the direct spread. Mist is softer and hazier, closer to light scattered by air. Spectral splits the spread into colours, so a highlight leaves a faint rainbow at its edge.
