Everything at once

The effect layers the faults of a failing broadcast: a sync tear, a frozen roll bar, ghosts from a multipath signal, tape dropout, head-switch noise, and at the far end the signal collapses into snow. It is the most complete of the signal breakdowns.

Where the break lands

Apply To chooses where the faults are allowed to fall: across the whole image, only the edges, or only the flat areas. Limiting it to the edges keeps the subject readable while the frame falls apart around it.
