A lens with a fault

Freelens tilts the plane of focus, so one band of the picture is sharp and the rest falls away, and it adds a warm light leak that refracts from a light source placed off the frame. The haze it leaves lifts the blacks.

Three lenses

Freelens is the tilted leak on its own. Tilt-Shift is the miniature look, with a sharp band across a soft picture. Prism Leak splits the light into coloured refraction along the leak.

  • Depth of FieldA per-pixel circle of confusion computed from the depth inferred out of your flat image, gathered through a configurable aperture — polygonal, catadioptric or anamorphic bokeh.
  • BloomBright highlights spread and bleed into the picture, the way strong light does on film.
  • VignetteDarken the frame edges, or tint them, following the shape of the frame.
