A picture made of block characters
Each cell is drawn with a block character chosen for its tone, so dark areas take the heavy blocks and light areas the thin ones. The grid is square and geometric, which suits a graphic, screen-like look.
Styles and colour
Style chooses the ramp of characters: Steps uses the stepped blocks, Dots the dotted ones, Dice a pattern of pips, and Pixel Quad the quarter-cell blocks, among others. Colour sets the cells in Mono, in the picture's own colours (Source), in two tones (Duo), or in the 16 colours of a terminal (ANSI).
